The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national-level entrance exam for admissions to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programmes offered by 22 National Law Universities in India.
CLAT is organised by the Consortium of National Law Universities, comprising representative universities. Several affiliate universities and organisations also use the CLAT exam for admissions and recruitment. All admissions to the 5-year integrated Ll.B. and Ll.M. programmes that commence in the Academic Year 2025-2025 shall be through the CLAT 2025.
With the new pattern kicking in 2020, CLAT is now more focused on aptitude. The CLAT exam consists of 150 objective-type questions with a total time duration of 2 hours. It consists of five sections, including English, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, Current Affairs including GK and Quantitative Techniques. A thorough understanding of the CLAT Exam Pattern 2025 is a crucial milestone to clear the exam. Thus, practising only from books in these changing scenarios is not enough for students to get into their dream college. The students must be able to comprehend passages with good reading speed. In this digital age, the toppers also rely on technology to improve their scores and utilise their time rather than spending it on social media.
We at Smartkeeda have brought you a compilation of the best 5 apps that will help you to enhance your reading skills, improve vocabulary, attempt quizzes and cover current affairs and general knowledge:

1. Smartkeeda

Smartkeeda is India's leading Test Series app designed for Law exams (HR Judiciary, SEBI, SEBI Legal Officer, CLAT, RJS), Banking exam preparation, SSC exam preparation and other major government job examinations that offer high-quality mock tests for all major competitive exam preparation.
Smartkeeda provides you 25 Full-length Mock Tests, 40 Sectional Tests, Free interactive videos and more than 950 Topic Tests that help you draw out the best in you.
The mocks here are at par with those provided by other websites in terms of affordability, user interface, features, and detailed analysis tools. It also offers you 1 FREE mock for each exam to give you a taste of the real exam.
The full-length mock tests give you a real exam interface and help you deal with the time pressure in the real exam. The topic tests here are designed in such a way that even a beginner student can understand the topic and improve his/her weak areas.
There are many unique features on Smartkeeda which can help aspirants. Some of them are -
Suggestion mode: This feature is the USP of Smartkeeda. With this feature, beginners can choose which question to attempt first and which one to skip.
One silly mistake beginners make is taking the question on their ego and wasting a lot of time on one particular question. CLAT is not just about comprehending and scoring, you have to solve the entire paper in just 2 hours. Here is when the suggestion mode of Smartkeeda comes into play. Following this mode, students get to learn the strategy followed only by the toppers i.e. leave the difficult question for the last minutes and score solving the easy ones first. Though the technique takes time to seep in but once done can be proved useful in the long run.
In this mode, you can also see the time given by the topper in a particular question which will give you an idea of how much time we should put into a particular question.
Retake: With this feature, you can reattempt the full mock test again as a fresh one and not just once but as many times as you want.
Compare with friend: This helps you to compare your score with your friend by using the latter's email id.
Performance graph: You can track different elements of your performance, like speed, accuracy, topic strength, question selection etc, using chart analysis. You can also see the test-on-test performance graph to see your growth in mocks.

2. Qudoo

Its creators claim it to be India's first Education-Gaming-Social (EGS).
This app is for students who are competitive and want to test themselves at every step. Qudoo helps you validate your knowledge in a fun-filled environment. In this, you can fight battles (quiz battles) with random opponents from all over India. These battles are then followed by an elaborative explanation, thus helping you revise the topics (especially GK) that you have already learned. The best thing is it is absolutely FREE of cost and Ad free.
This app is amazing for covering topics such as Current Affairs, General Knowledge and Legal Reasoning. The gaming environment keeps students engaged and makes studying a fun-filled process. Practising on this app helps you learn the art of skipping and taking wise decision. It penalizes you for hitting a wrong option and signals you to skip the question in case you are putting too much time.
The best thing this app offers is an improvement in problem-solving speed. The score you obtain on answering each question correctly/incorrectly directly depends on your answering speed. The sooner you hit the correct answer, the more points will be obtained.
Thus, this app can replace all the social media and gaming apps in your phone which only drain your energy and time.

3. Inshorts

Inshorts is a news app that provides a 60-word summary of the most recent news. Sometimes, the students don’t get enough time to read the newspaper and watch TV for news. This is what students want in this fast-paced world - to consume news on the go!
This app has a brilliant design, easy UI and hand-picked news. This is another app to get in touch with day-to-day news and stay updated. All the news in the app is divided into several categories. If you only want to read the news regarding politics, then choose the Politics category and then only news related to politics will appear on your screen.

4. ReaderPro

This app helps you develop speed reading, attentiveness and memory skills. The app will be useful even if you rarely read. Just after 2-3 trainings, the imagination will work in a completely different way!
An average person perceives about 200 words per minute and assimilates only 50-60% of the information while reading. If you need to remember something, you have to go back to the same sentences. As a result, you can quickly get tired and lose interest in the process. This app helps you to master the skim reading process and will be beneficial as four out of five sections in CLAT consist of 'Paragraph Based Questions'.

5. The Hindu

Since the students are tested on their comprehension skills, reading the newspaper is the best way to improve your English reading speed and vocabulary. I prefer The Hindu as it never contains unnecessary news!
Apart from the reading section which can be covered using the newspaper the Grammar portion can be prepared from Wren n martin book, it is simply the best among all!!
Hope you all find these app amazing and will help you acing the examination.
Thanks and regards,
 Team Smartkeeda
